One of the brother blessed me with a mini tour of the Island. Thanks Fred. The views were priceless. It would have been a thousand times better if Mihoko and the kids had been there. 
The Shi Shi lion is a mythical creature that the Okinwans used as a guardian for the Island and temples. There are two one with mouth open and one closed. Why there are many opinions. The reddish one was very large. There is a person standing below and that can give you a perspective of how large it is.
