Jane's Yochien Interview

Jane's interview day at the Iruma Yochien. A Yochien is a Preschool/Kindergarten. The Japanese schools start from first grade when the kids are 6 year old. So prior they can attend a Yochien. Some Yochiens are different in that kids as young as 3 can attend classes and go through the system.
We started out riding our bikes to the Yochien which is about a 10 minute bike ride only Jane and I riding our Mama Chari bike blew out a tire and I had to walk the bike back near home and catch a bus to the school.

Jane did well in the interview and understood a lot of Japanese...thanks Mihoko and Obaa San. She got to try on her new uniform and we were given about a hundred things to do before Monday. The school is very interesting as the symbol is the dove with an olive branch in its mouth. Could this school have a Christian background? Hmm... Anyway it is very large compared to many of the Yochiens I have seen. Pray we have a great opening ceremony on Saturday and also for Jane's first day of school on Monday.
