Fig is an acrostic for Faith in God from Mark 11:22. We as missionaries living in Japan enjoy our FIG in Japanese or In Nihon Go (ING). Here we are figing away in a beautiful country Japan. This started out as a place for family to get updates and pictures but now this goes all over the world. Praise God. May you be blessed as you read my posts. Some funny, some sad, & some really stupid and embarrassing for my family.

Tokorozawa Ladies Tea Party
The Ladies in Tokorozawa got together and had a tea party. It was a great time to hang out but they were very serious in the word of God and studied about why we celebrate Easter. There are trappings that have accumulated over the years that take away from the real meaning of Easter. It was a fulfilling time to rethink the main reason for Easter.
God before the foundations of the world had a plan to redeem his greatest act of Creation (Man) through his Son Jesus Christ. Jesus was sent to not only be a sacrifice to take away our sin but he was a substitute for a life we could never live. So from birth he was the perfect sinless Lamb of God who alone would accomplish the greatest act of love ever known in the history of the universe. The creator crucifies himself to redeem his own creation even when they were in sin and didn't want his love. I am so blessed to know Jesus Christ as my Savior He saved me not because of me beauty or amazing talents in ministry (Ha Ha) but just for the fact that he loved all men and women for all time so much that he doesn't want any to perish. It's not that we are special but that we are all special everyone sinner is part of his special creation. He wants us all to spend eternity with him. The problem is a rebellious heart that is independent of his ways. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. Jesus is the only Savior that can save us because he is God who takes away the sin of the world. If you don't want Jesus then there can be no eternity with him.
It was a powerful day and many seed of faith were planted. May God continue to grow the ladies there in Calvary Chapel Tokorozawa.
